The Baltic Reval Hotels chain will Tuesday open its third hotel in Riga, Reval Hotel Elizabete, after investing 30 million euros into the hotel. The eight-story hotel is situated in central Riga and has 228 rooms and suites, Reval Hotels said. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, two conference rooms, a health center with sauna and underground car park. The hotel was designed by an international team of architects and interior designers. A combination of glass and textured wood panels has been used in the exterior finish of the facade and the courtyard.
Construction of Reval Hotel Elizabete began in 2006 when the Norwegian Linstow AS real estate developer and the building company Skonto Bave signed a contract for the erection of the new building. The Reval Hotels chain has eight hotels in the biggest Baltic cities, three of them in Tallinn, three in Riga, one in Vilnius and one in Kaunas. Economy class services are offered under its other trademark, Reval Inn. The onwer of Reval Hotels and Reval Inn is the Norwegian real estate company Linstow AS. Linstow AS is a subsidiary of the Anders Wilhelmsen Group, majority owner of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
The turnover of the Reval Hotels group in 2007 was 58.8 million euros.
